Esponjas homoseclerofóridas (Demospongia) del litoral catalán

Abstract

Homosclerophorid sponges (Demospongia), from the Catalan litoral.
Six species of the Subclass Homosclerophorida are described from specimens collected in the Catalan littoral (NE of Spain). A dichotomic Key for their classification is presented. Two species (Corticium candelabrum and Plakinastrella copiosa) are new records in the Iberian Peninsula and one (Plakortis simplex) in the spanish Mediterranean Sea.
