PDFAbstract
Speonomus tincatincensis n. sp. and. S. saforensis n. sp., new species of Bathysciinae (Col. Catopidae) from the Pallars (Lleida, Spain)
Two new species of Bathysciinae are described from the Catalan Prepyrenees. Speonomus tincatincensis n. sp., from a cave near Sort and whose taxonomic position is close to Speonomus pallaresanus Jeannel and S. latebricola Jeannel, lives together with S. akarsticus Escoli, 1980.Speonomus saforensis n. sp. was discovered intending to clarify the pool of troglobite Bathysciinae that cohabit in some areas of the Serra de Lleris. Taxonomicaly it should be located in the vicinity of S. sanctigervasi Jeannel and perhaps S. ribagorzanus Jeannel.
