Abstract

Determination of the anuran Amphibia species of the NE of the Iberian Peninsula by the ilia bone
The main anatomical characteristics of ilia bone, which allow an specific diagnosis, are described. All studied species are from the northcast of the Iberian Peninsula: Discoglossus pictus, Alytes obstetricans, Pelobates cultripes, Pelodytes punctatus, Bufo bufo, Bufo calamita, Hyla meridionalis, Rana perezi and Rana temporaria. A dichotomic key to identify them by the ilia bone is presented.
