Abstract

Comparison of two trapping methods for small mammals (Insectivora and Rodentia) in cultivated fields
This paper compares the results obtained by means of two different trapping methods (snaptraps and pitfalls) in a sampling program of small mammals of cereal fields. The results are different and point out a smaller selectivity of pitfall. Nevertheless, Apodemus sylvaticus, the most captured species, prefers snaptraps and does not present sexual differences in trap selection.
