Description of Maheoptinus negrosianus n. sp. andphylogenetical and biogeographical analysis of the Maheoptinus group (Coleoptera, Ptinidae)
Maheoptinus negrosianus n. sp. from the Philippines, is described. This new species is closely related to M. thai, from Bangkok (Thailand). A cladistic analysis of the Maheoptinus group, using the method of Camin and Sokal, and a biogeographical study, based on dispersa] and vicariance hypothesis, are presented.
