Abstract

Water Heteropters and Coleopters of Minorca
161 samples have been collected in 66 localities on the island for four years, obtaining 18 species of Heteroptera (three first mentions for Minorca), and 62 of Coleoptera, (27 first mentions for the island). The new species for the Balearic Islands are: Heteroptera, Notonecta viridis; Coleoptera, Hydrovatus (V.) clypealis, Copelatus haemorroiclalis, Hydaticus (G.) leander, Ochthebius (C.) heeri, 0. (B.) pilosus, Helophorus (M.) maritimus, H. s. str. minutus, H.A. brevipalpis, Berosus signaticollis, Cymbiodyta marginella and Helochares livornicus. Some ecological remarks are also given.
