Abstract

The Ciliata as saprobic organisme of the water
The ciliate protozoa of four stations of the Llobregat river have been determined and the water of these stations chemically analyzed, so to establish its biological quality. In the sampling stations the analyzed water can be included within the a-mesosaprobic level, with a tendency towarlls the polisaprobic level in the lower course corresponding to heavy organic pollution.
