Abstract

Coastal Pycnogonids of Northern Spain
The Pycnogonid fauna of two areas of N. Spain (San Ciprián in Lugo and El Abra in Bilbao, has been studied up to a depth of 32 m. A total of 9 species have been found. Achelia vulgaris and Anoplodactylus angulatus are new records for Northern Spain, and Callipallene emaciata and Anoplodactylus petiolatus for the Cantabric Spanish coast. The northern distribution is completed with data of other local papers. This fauna (13 species) is typical of the Atlantic-Mediterranean zone
