Postorchigenes gymnesicus Mas-Coma, Bargues & Esteban, 1981 (Trematoda, Lecithodendriidae) in small mammals of the Ebro Delta (NE Iberian Peninsula)
New definitive hosts for Postorchigenes gymnesicus Mas-Coma, Bargues & Esteban, 1981 (Trematoda, Lecithodendriidae) on the Ebro Delta have been recorded: Rattus norvegicus Berkenhout, 1769 and Mus musculus Linnaeus, 1758 (Rodentia, Muridae) and Arvicola sapidus Miller, 1908 (Rodentia, Arvicolidae). The faunistic, zoogeographical and bioecological interest of this finding is discussed. The presence of P. gymnesicus in this zone is related to the special nature of specific biotopes.
