Abstract

Presence of the genus Cheirochelifer Beier in the Spanish Levant (Arachnida, Pseudoscorpiones, Cheliferidae)
The finding of a specimen of the genus Cheirochelifer Beier, is reported for the first time in the Iberian Peninsula. The specimen collected in the Spanish Levant has been classified as Ch. bigoti Heurtault and the differences with the other species of the genus (turcicus Beier and heterometrus (L. Koch)) are discussed. The distribution of the genus is updated.
