Primeras citas de Cataetyx laticeps (Osteichthyes, Bythitidae) y Dysomma brevirostre (Osteichthyes, Synaphobranchidae) en el Mar Catalán (Mediterráneo Ibérico)

First records of Cataetyx laticeps (Osteichthyes, Bythitidae) and Dysomma brevirostre (Osteichthyes, Synaphobranchidae) in the Catalonian Sea (Iberian Mediterranean Sea)
The research cruises for the exploration of the Iberian Mediterranean deep-sea (MARCA, BATIMAR, Sperma189), carried out from 1982 to 1989, have yielded an abundant and interesting ichthyological material. In the present paper two rare species are recorded for the first time in the Catalonian Sea (Iberian Mediterranean Sea): Cataetyx laticeps and Dysomma brevirostre. Biometric measurements and meristic characters are given, and some biological aspects of the life cycle and the bathymetric and geographical distributions are presented.
