Abstract

Description of the reproductive stolons of some species of the subfamily Syllinae (Polychaeta, Syllidae)
Reproductive stolons of several species of the subfamily Syllinae have been studied from collections deposited at the Biology Department of the University Autónoma of Madrid. Specimens belonging to 36 species have been examined. Stolons were found in 20 species. In this paper the unknown stolons of 11 species are described: Syllis amica Quatrefages, 1865; S. armillaris (Müller, 1771); S. columbretensis (Campoy, 1982); S. gracilis Grube, 1840; S. hyalina Grube, 1863; S. krohni Ehlers, 1864; S. medirerranea Ben-Eliahu, 1972; S. rosea (Langerhans, 1879); S. truncata cryptica Ben-Eliahu, 1977; S. variegata Grube, 1860; S. westheidei San Martín, 1984.
