Comparative study of some species of the genus Eumonhystera Andrássy, 1981 in northern Spain and description of Eumonhystera patiens n. sp. (Nematoda, Monhysterida
There are several species of Eumonhystera in northern Spain which are very similar, the main differences being morphometric. A new species E. patiens, is described; it is characterized by L under 0.50 mm, longer cephalic setae,112-113 body width; distance of amphids from head end 2-3 times head diameter and 33.45% cephalic width; short gonad, 13-34% body length and V = 50.5-56%; tail 1.4-2.4 times vulva-anus distance and 12.7-24.6 times as long as anal body diameter, slender caudal process. E. patiens n. sp. is closely related to E. pseudobulbosa (Daday, 1886) Andrássy, 1981 and E. simplex (De man, 1880) Andrássy 1981. E. pseudobulbosa has shorter cephalic setae than E. patiens n. sp. and V=55-62%. E. simplex differs from E. patiens n. sp. in that it has a longer distance between the amphids and anterior end, smaller cephalic setae and a shorter tail.
