Abstract

Anobiidae from Southern Africa (Coleoptera, Bostrychoidea). 5th note. First data on the subfamily Tricoryninae: Scottanobium africanum n. gen., n. sp.
This is the first work on South African Tricoryninae. A new genus and new species, Scottanobium afn’canum n. gen., n. sp. are described and placed in the vicinity of Nesocoelopus Español and Mesocoelopus J. du Val. A revision of this subfamily with a key of genera, its type-species, synonymies, geographic distribution, affinities and other data are presented.
