Abstract

Stenohelia maderensis (Johnson, 1862) (Cnidaria, Hydrozoa, Athecatae, Stylasteridae) in Biscay Bay (N Spain)
The hydroid family Stylasteridae is known in Spanish waters only from the Bay of Biscay and off northwestern Galicia. Live colonies of S. maderensis were collected at 769 m together the gastropod Pedicularia sicula and at 863 m on the continental slope of the Cantabrian Sea.
