Cuatro especies de poliquetos nuevas para las costas mediterráneas españolas en los sedimentos del antepuerto de Valencia

Four species of Polychaeta new to the Mediterranean Coast of Spain, inhabiting sediments from Valencia outer harbour
Neoamphitrite edwardsi (Quatrefages, 1865) and Polydora cornuta Bosc, 1802 are recorded for the first time from the Mediterranean sea, and Rullierinereis anoculata Cantone, 1982 and Paradoneis ilvana Castelli, 1985 are new species for the Iberian catalog of Polychaeta. All were collected in shallow soft bottoms in the Valencia outer harbour. The systematics and morphology of each species is discussed. The ecology of Valencia outer harbour is compared to that of previous collecting localities. The distribution of the four species is presented.
