Resumen

Distribution and systematic relationships of populations of the genus Ctenomys (Rodentia, Ctenomyidae)ffom the Province of Mendoza (Argentina)
A total of 20 skull and body variables were measured on 127 specimens of Ctenomys genus from nine geographic localities. The majority of them are located withim the range of C. mendocinus mendocinus Philippi, 1869. Al1 data were treated using a principal component and discriminant factorial analysis. Five groups showed a cranial variation that exceeded the degree of subspecific differentiation. One of them should perhaps still be considered as a subspecies of . mendocinus, on account of the little genetic and allozymic differences registered in other studies. Another two groups showed a leve1 of infraspecific differentiation with respect to C. mendocinus.
