Historical Mediterranean record of the Wliite Shark Carcharodon carcharias (Linnaeus, 1758) in the Catalonian Sea documented by jaw teeth
This work offers the possihility lo know about an old capture of White Shark Carcharodon carcharias in Vilasar de Mar (Barcelona). This event is documentated with ihe donation of two teeth on 16 XII 1912 to the Zoolngy Museum oí’ Rarcclona. The mentioned teeth are. at the moment. the first historic record about a White Shark in Catalonia and the second in the Catalonian Sea.
