Description of the rnature larva of Oxybelus lamellatus Olivier and O. spectabilis Gerstaecker (Hymenoptera, Sphecidae)
The characteristics of the mature larva of Oxybelus lamellatus Olivier, 181 2 and O. spectabilis Gerstaecker, 1867 correspond with the already described larvae of its congeners. Nevertheless the presence of a transverse band of setae and spinules on each tergum has not been described in other species. The two species studied show a row of placoid sensillae at the labrum free margin, which had only been reported hitherto for Oxybelus argentatus Curtis.
