Description of the male of Aphaenogaster cardenai Espadaler, 1981 (Hy menoptera, Forrnicidae)
Males of Aphaenogaster cardenai are described. This species seems to show very strict hypogeus habits, so that its localization is very casual. Males were coliected by light-tramps, and the comparison with the sexuates of other species of the subgenus Attomyrma suggest the necessity of reviewing this subgenus in order to calrify the phylogenetic relationship of its species. Some biometric data on A. cardenai workers are given.
