Resum

Osseous growth of the limbs in the House Sparrow Passer domesticus (L., 1758)
The growth strategy of the osseous components of the limbs in Passer domesticus was studied from the prenatal to the postnatal phase. Biometric values of daily length growth of the bones of adults were analysed. The former determined potential adjustments of the temporary evolution, whereas the latter delimited the phases of minimum and maximum growth. When functional maturity of the structures was reached, the growth tended to cease. The development process of the bones is such that the limbs of the fledgling are functional by the end of their stay in the nest.
