Abstract

An example of map collection inventory and management

While the management of small collections of maps can be simplified with manual inventories, it is more difficult with collections that gather thousands of maps and more. Here informatic management becomes very useful. This publication shows that with a limited number of items (12), it is easy to manage many thousand maps. The numbering of maps, the realization of accounts, the entry and interrogation of data allow for a very simple and efficient computerized management system.
