Abstract

In contrast to the Sirenia, fossil Cetacea are much rarer in the Spanish Miocene (upper Burdigalian). This paper discusses the material available in the Catalan museums. It was possible to identify one Euhinodelphide (Eurhinodeiphis sp., cf. E. sigmoideus?) and a tooth of Delphinidae (Champsodelphis?), in addition to indeterminate postcranial Odontocete remains. For the Mysticeti, cranial and skeletal fragments of a Cetotherium sp. are present.
